Erny,
If a party of one books he would be the only hunter in camp and able to sit whichever active bait had the best bears on it. I do all of the guiding myself and so can only take 1 or 2 hunters at a time. I dont have any specials running right now for 1x1 hunts so the price is $3500 for a 1x1 cabin hunt.$3000 for a Backpack hunt.

Wow, that's nonresident price? Don't you have to also buy the nonresident hunting license and then the tags? Wow this is so tempting, anybody want to ride with me? When the best time? When is the snow melted? I'll be traditional archery. Do you bait the pack back hunts, or is all spot n stalk?
I'm gonna have to do some serious honey do's...

On the backpack hunt each hunter carries a $155 lic. and pays 31.75 for each tag. They can have 2 bear tags, and up to 5 wolf tags(5 wolves is very unlikely) Most hunters would opt for the 2 bear tags and carry a single wolf tag. The backpack hunts are over active baits. It is a very high success remote mountain adventure that allows us to hunt areas that I scout and observe den areas in the fall but are inaccessable in the spring unless you go in on foot. It does mean we sleep in backpacking tents, sleeping bags on pads on the ground, and eat freeze dried meals. Not for everybody, but definetly worth it if you enjoy those sorts of physically demanding adventures.

Thought I'd put the lic. and tag price if you want to take your son or daughter, Idaho has something called the Junior mentored hunting program, if they are between the ages 9-17 the Hunting lic. is 31.75 and the tag is 23.75
