We had a great time and brought home several for the wall. We shot 12 different species of waterfowl and dove. Then we ended it with a day of Bass fishing.

I've been to Nicaragua bird hunting and fishing. Matter of fact the picture of the Tarpon jumping, on your website, is mine. My wife and I were fishing with Monticristo lodge, on the San Juan, when I caught that one. Small world hu?
Here's the full sized version...

It was in the deep water, although some would just swim. Remember the water is in the 60s. The bird boys were great. They'd hunt 10'-12' reeds and rarely lose a bird.

Very cool that you guys saw the number of ducks that you did on your bay hunts. The weekly that we were there the bay Hunts were absolutely slow. Plenty of brant and tons of bird in the ditches but the bays were slow. Looks like you guys had a great trip.

The first day the bay was pretty good. The rest of the time it was really slow for us too.

There's not a lot of fish out there that are more fun than tarpon.

That's a lot birds man. Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like you might have overlooked a hybrid Mexican mallard x mallard in the middle of the pile on the tailgate pic. Got some green on his head and the bill is a little bit different

I think it's just the way the light hits them if the feathers are not slicked down. Look on the left, under the cinnamon, and you can see a little green in those two. Their bills varried in size, but color is fairly standard in the Drakes. Also since the Mexican ducks don't migrate and Mallards don't venture that far south I don't know if they cross paths very often.
