Been building a nimble little 9.3x74R falling block double rifle at work. It should come in at 8 1/4ish pounds when complete. Turkish walnut stock measures 14 1/4" LOP, 1 1/2 DAC, and 2 1/2" DAH. This is the first stainless steel action we have done and we plan to fnish and engrave it to mimic a french grayed look. The barrels and ribs are still chrome moly and will be rust blued. This rifle is the first one I have done the majority of the work on. All the stock work was done by me, I assembled the barrels and fit the ribs, all the action parts were fitted off the EDM and timed by me. All thats left is to checker, finish the stock further, regulate, polish the barrels and action, engrave, blue, machine the top rib for detachable scope rings, and install the intended iron sights. Onto the regulation stage. We shoot the rifle off bags at a 50yd target. We intend to have the barrels shoot parralel or slightly closing. So the spread center of bore to center of bore at the breach is .825", and we try to get the bullets to impact the same distance apart at 50yds. Once again this is a close range gun and slightly closing is okay too. We change bullet impact by heating up the last 12" or so of the barrels until the solder is flowng, then spread or close the muzzles while keeping them level. We do this on a flat pece of granite. We didnt hav emuch ammo and ths is the last target I shot before running out. Not far off. Should have a new box of ammo mid-week to finish it off. Not sure what happened the first right barrel shot, but if you can tell its still inline with the other right barrel shot. I'll spread the barrels .004"-.005" and see were it shoots.

While waiting on the ammo I decided to start checkering te buttstock. Got the borders and main lines cut in: The easy direction spaced out: Spaced out the opther direction and deepened the lnes to form points:

Very cool. What falling block action is that?

Its an action designed by Bailey Bradshaw and made in-house here at Bradshaw Gun and Rifle. We make everything going on these rifles in house except the sights and we use Mcgowen or Shilen barrels; albeit assembled together by us.

Wow! Very nice! I know how hard it is to get the barrels to line up. That is nice. You can also tweak the load some to allign them up. I have done this for a few big bore doubles.

Being a custom manufacturer we regulate with the intended ammo/load the customer plans to use. But yes, adjusting the load can also effect regulation.

Man that is awesome looking work. Yall are right down the road from me and i have never heard of yall before. Checked out the web page and would love one of the doubles in 22 hornet, however i think i would have to sell every gun in one safe to finance it.
