Well this will be the last time I deer hunt for this season ..... I have one buck tag left, hopefully something decent will show up! The feeder is probably out of corn, so I corned the three senderos around the blind. The current temp is 40 degrees.... Saw a few doe on the way in. There are now cattle in the pasture I am hunting, hopefully they will not show up. Heck at this point I would be really happy with a nice gobbler or hog if no bucks show up. I'll keep you guys posted!

I don't know about Medina co., but most of the state is doe and spike only now. But, good luck.

I am south of Hwy 90, so the buck season goes another week. Well, I was right.... The feeder was empty... Glad I corned the roads! Sun is coming up, we'll see what happens!

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Thanks guys. This fellow is going to be 10lbs of jalapeno/cheese smoked sausage and 10 lbs of chorizo for me. The rest is going to be steaks and hamburger for an elderly volunteer at my work whose husband passed away. She misses venison since he was a big hunter and I think eating it reminds her of him. I tell you, between myself and my son (11 years old and a good shot) we usually end up giving more venison away than we keep. As long as folks appreciate it, we appreciate providing it.
