OK, I previously had the larger Cuddeback IR that required the large D batteries and was in love. I had no problems with them and wouldn't have changed a thing. Last year they came out with the smaller version. I bought two and on my recommendation other lease members bought three. I put them out expecting the same results. Not so much. They are TERRIBLE!!! I've put 5 different kinds of batteries, checked for leaks, etc, etc. They just wont work. I believe its something tod with the batteries. They keep blowing up. Anybody have ideas??? I called cuddeback and they were no help. Kinda pissed

Cuddecrap now.

Once you get past the old Captures and even those were hit and miss their quality is gone.

I have 2 WGI micro6's, a Bushnell trophy and a Primos truth 35. No real issues with any of them. I did have some card issues with one of the WGI's.

Lots of sponsorship hunters have quit em, my cuddebacks from 2003-2006 are awesome, still my favorite cameras to check.
Spypoint, oddly enough, is a great cam too. I bought two from Gander Mountain a few years back for $60 each, and they are outstanding. The model closest to the ones I have is now around $200 retail. Bushnell is the best average for value and quality IMO, the trophy cams are super!

Thanks guys. Always stinks when you get accustom to something working well and then PPPRRFFFF. Ill switch and continue to spread the word about the poor CB quality.

I have 5 CB's that no longer function after 18 months of light use. Two cameras had less than 1000 pictures on them. Called customer service, had a real long laugh when she told me to send the cameras along with $150 EACH to them and I would have my cameras in about 8 weeks, then contacted Reconyx. There is a reason they are $500. Great cameras, long battery life( use the lithium), and super fast trigger speed. Just be careful how you set it up. I checked the camera after 14 days of run time and had 24,000 pictures. It clocked every time a doe crunched a piece of corn. I will buy more for this year.

Ive got three of the attack ir, one was when they first came out. All three have worked perfectly since they where new. Had one of the first cuddeback Excite Ir had a few problems with it, then the Capture worked pretty well, had a few little hiccups. Had one of the little bushnell trophy cams, what a POS. it worked for a week and wouldn't power up. Took it back to acadmey to exchange for another, which somehow leaked and got water in it. Took it back and got my refund, ordered another cuddeback attack ir from amazon. Suxs that Cb wont stand behind their product better!

I have learned to fix any CuddyCrap I have ever owned. I just screw it to my 100 yard backstop and use them to sight in my rifles before season. They work the same after this as they did before.
