Why does this always happen on weekends? Looks like I'm going to be hunting and sweating! May end up tagging more wasp than deer!

Yep I'm headed to the blind late today. 430 and just come in quiet. shot a pig last night late anyway and the deer were in just before that..

Yeah, I roasted watching the F1 race in Austin. It was a good weekend to not be hunting, and I don't say that often. Hope this heat wave breaks down in the next week or so.

Yeah, I roasted watching the F1 race in Austin. It was a good weekend to not be hunting, and I don't say that often. Hope this heat wave breaks down in the next week or so. Freezing stuff on its way next week.

Next weekend calls for the highs in the 50's and lows in the 30's in the Abilene area.

I was surprised at how well the deer moved this weekend. Especially with a full moon.

although sweat and wasps were out, I saw some good deer in the heat. Trying one last time in the morning.

I may head to the range later today. Too hot to hunt. That's what I did and it was a great day to shoot. Range was crowded everyone else thought so as well.
