I went Last week. Most deer were still nocturnal other than a few does and some youngsters. I will be going next week to see if anything is moving around. Last year it was the first and second week of December before bucks started chasing real well.

Yeah, I guess it's not cold enough yet. Maybe this cold front that moved in this week will get the to come out of the brush before it gets dark.

I hunt off of 55 N. of the river and the deer are not moving there either. My opinion, the acorn crop is very heavy this year and there is no reason to move. Few more weeks the rut starts up and less food on the ground we will see more deer. The cooler weather will certantly help as well.

Reich, Im in the same general area, Montell silver creek ranch. the acorn crop must be a big part, i havent seen any hogs in a month also.

The same at my place next to the frio bat cave off 27. I had a couple hogs come in regularly and haven't seen them in a couple weeks on camera.
