Cactus came from my lease in San Saba, Mesquite came from Jason Fry in Abilene and the Damascus from Alabama Damascus.
One went to a THF member and the other went to a good friend.
I really like the cactus scales, just wish they were more readily available.

Those are a real piece of work , how in the world do you get the cactus scales on there?

The cactus is the "veins" of burned prickly pear cactus. It is first burned, then allowed to rot, the "maggots" eat everything except the veins. The veins are then processed, cleaned and bleached and then dried. The cactus veins are then cast in a 2 part resin. Usually Alumilite resin.
