I hunt from a box blind. Im thinking of getting the primos electronic call because I can set it up outside the blind. Anyone use it?
Has anyone had luck using regular calls from a box blind?

I use grunts all of the time from box blinds. I have four commercial grunts to imitate four different deer (at least I hope so).

I use a True Talker in box blinds. Just get it outside the window.

I like to make the grunts natural so I use my mouth. It works most of the time, had a good 6 point come in yesterday around 2 p.m. If you want grunt call lessons using your own voice give me shout or send me a message.
I don't always shoot deer, but when I do, I prefer B&C's. I don't always shoot ducks, but when I do, I prefer banded ducks.

Even though your good doing it with your mouth...that didn't sound right...lol.anyways,the electronic calls are actual deer recordings. They work great but mine usually stays home. I use the primos hardwood grunter with a lot of success . The rattle bag works as well but real horns work best.imo. Also, yes if in box stand I put call out window.

Over 18K posts on here and still make fun of a guy asking a serious question. I'm not picking on anyone, but last I checked, that is what a forum is for... to ask questions, share lessons learned and offer advice. A lot of us like to try new things and don't think of ourselves as the "Great know all hunter". I normally don't get into internet banter because it is useless and nobody wins, but some people think they can just make fun of someone with no consequence because they automatically assume the other person is incompetent. I have never tried electronic calls, but I wouldn't be opposed to it while hunting out of my blind. Besides, it's only comical if it doesn't work.

Check out the iHunt app. Has more calls I believe, can create playlists, etc...
Also the primos wind checker app is pretty sweet...

I didn't make fun of anyone. I don't claim to know anything. I have had a predator call for years with deer noises and refuse to use them because that's not hunting. Stick with a set of rattling horns or a grunt call and that's it. I would be embarrassed if my hunting buddy pulled up an app and tried to lure a deer. People are rolling over in their graves right now.

I see your point of view. My intention was not to attack anyone either, but after I read back what I wrote I could see it sounded a little aggressive. I didn't make fun of anyone. rattle bag sounds like a good choice. TXbowhunter thanks for the offer. I tried to learn spanish once if making grunts with my mouth turned out the same I'll have deer running away or laughing.

I think some people would "roll over in their graves" if they knew we were talking about hunting on an internet forum. Its all about perspective.

I remember when we laughed at antler rattling, grunt calls, and doe pee. And I'm not that old.
