Any recommendations on a good retriever trainer on the NW side of Houston? I live in Cypress and don't mind driving 1-1.5 hours or so. I have trained a couple of labs in the past, but with 3 kids and a job change, I just don't have the time and I'm going to have to get some help on this one. Looks like most of them are $500-$700 a month. I can't go over that and would prefer closer to the lower amount smile Let me know who you have used and think is good.

Drake Sporting dogs located in Spring.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

Check out Ron Friudenberg at Oakwood Kennels in Angleton. He trained my friend's master hunter and is training 3 of my pup's littermates. They are 14 months old; one has his senior title and the other 2 both have junior titles and senior passes. I've heard nothing but great things.

Wade cashion at south Texas gun dogs had my lab earlier this year and it was the best experience I could ask for. He did a great job at a wonderful price and I am 100% satisfied with the work.

That's who I used. Best money I ever spent. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and everyone lives on site. Easy to communicate with. All of my future dogs will go there. Gator will be going back after the season to finish out her Jrs.
