I grunted up 2 nice 8 points yesterday evening in the bow stand. There necks are swollen and they are being very territorial. Still waiting on a big boy I am chasing!

I seen the bucks checking does but not really what I call rutting. I hope your right though cause I got a sho Nuff wall hanger coming around.

I just posted about a buck I almost hit about 2 hours ago in between Weatherford and Granbury close to the tin top cutoff, he had his mouth open and tongue hanging out with no care for any of the cars that stopped

What part of NW Parker? Hope we're not seeing the same "big boy" lol but I agree I stopped on the road leaving our place and watched him, head down tounge out...EVERY doe was glued to me stomping her feet....I believe I could have knifed him before he knew I was there....

I'm in NW Parker and I've hunted 3 times a week since bow season started. Today is the first rut activity I've seen but I wouldn't call it rut. Had 5 doe and 3 small bucks at the feeder and one buck kept harassing a doe but she just ignored him. Think it'll peak around thanksgiving like every other year.

I'm in southwest Wise. I've seen some pre rut lately but it always seems to be LNG and slow here. First day in a stand and I haven't seen a thing and just heard my first shot in the distance as I'm typing this.

Hunted in W Parker Cnty this am. Lot of young bucks chasing.

I don't really know about full blown rut just yet. I did just watch a small 6 tailing a doe but think it was just a buck being young and dumb like a teenage guy but he stayed within 20 yds behind her the whole time even when they stopped and ate at my food plot, I am pretty sure if she was truly in heat there wouldn't be any stopping and eating.

I think the rut is 10-14 days off. Young bucks are definitely checking the does and I even watched two youngsters spar about 50 yards from me. Haven't seen the mature bucks yet which leads me to believe it's not quite the rut yet.

Talked to our GW yesterday and his thoughts were the same.

If it hits over the next two weeks, that will be a good bit earlier than normal. It's usually right around Thanksgiving.

Young bucks are chasing some and the mature bucks neck are swelling. Waiting on the females here.

In Archer County there was 1 small 6 chasing a couple doe's, the bigger bucks were all by them self.

In the past couple of years I've noticed the most activity on or about Nov 17.
