Who all has killed a WT buck in the middle of the day? What time was it? Was the rut going on?

Me personally, all my bucks have come in the typical morning or evening. But, I had my chance once: went to make a quick grocery run once about 1pm in Mid-December. Got almost all the way out of the ranch, looked into a field, and I'll be darned if there wasn't a mature buck out there running does. 2nd rut was going on. Course, the rifle was in the cabin . Learned a couple lessons that day.

Killed quite a few in the middle of the day

When its cold and drizzly I sit all day.

When its warm I go in at 9:30

Sí..1pm. I see a lot of bucks middle of the day when I'm not on my stand.

I have seen quite a few during midday and killed some. I have guided a few hunts where we killed midday.

I have guided several hunters back to the blind after breakfast and have taken some of the better bucks between 11am and 2pm.

some of my best bucks have been killed between 10 and 2 during the full moon. had deer hit 3 feeders with cameras between 10 and 10:30 today

Last one was about lunch time about 8 years ago.

He's a turd of a buck, but date and time are correct.

I always try to hunt mid-day when there is a full moon. Have killed several deer during the middle of the day that way. Knew an old-timer when I was a kid that never went to the woods until after 9 am and usually would hunt til 1 or 2. He always killed big deer. He always said the big ones walk in the middle of the day because there were no hunters in the woods.

Most of my midday TC pics last yr seem to have come between 10/30-11/2.

What surprised me about my earlier example was that it was a sunny, blue-bird day. But that's the rut for ya.

I slept in today. Went out to corn roads for kids youth hunt and there was a 18 in 9 pt under a oak tree by there stand at 1030 this morning. I've killed and seen a lot of big bucks midday. Usually between 1030 and 1

I shot a 140 class 8 point New years eve at 2:45 pm 2 years ago.

I killed my biggest Mule Deer in West Texas at 2:30 pm.

I have killed a few during midday hours. I have also noticed by late Nov. and Dec. a lot of movement during the midday hours. Guess those deer figure out a lot of non activity is going on at that time. I will often makes three sits during December. Predawn till 9:30 or so; take a small break or change stands, 11 till about 1; another break and then 3 till dark. Many times the midday sit has produced the most sightings.
I basically believe every minute is a good time to be out in the stand. Just can't kill or see much sitting in camp.

Killed a Booner at 1:30 on public land in 2004. Was in the woods at 9:30am immediately following a long soaking rain. It was a long sit but very much worth it!

My biggest buck to date was killed on Thanksgiving day at 12:30 p.m. headed down to the deer feeder to replace a battery prior to thanksgiving lunch.

Killed my biggest bucks both in very early afternoon, 2-3 pm.

Biggest buck i've taken was at 12:25pm the day after Thanksgiving in 2005.

I've killed several in the middle of the day but not from a blind...they were all killed still hunting...Win-94 30-30 open sights...big fun

I have killed 2 nice deer around noon. But, I have also set for many, many hours and not seen deer from 10am-3pm. It is worth a try, but I'd take along an ipad, for time passing!

I killed 2 mature 8 points from the same stand on the same trail back to back years at 2 pm.
