College buddy of mine found this sounder last Saturday morning inside the city of Dallas crossing a paved bicycle trail! He and a friend were laughing so hard that he almost did not film it.

Do you know which trail this was on? Trinity Forest Trail near the Audubon Center I think. Street over there called Simpson Stuarts dead ends and turns into the bike trail near the river.

There was a story on the local Houston news showing a ton of damage in a Cinco Ranch subdivision. There is an elementary school next to the subdivision but no one seemed interested in doing anything to get rid of the pigs and they're not allowed to "hunt" them.

I had a big one walking down one of the main roads in my old subdivision near Pearland. Not a care in the world.

I can understand them not allowing gun hunters in some of these areas, but at the very least they could allow bow hunters to help thin the ranks a bit.
Regardless, urban pig populations will continue to rise if these cities take this "sit back and watch" approach.

I'm not surprised at all that there are pigs in that area.

Dallas has contracted a trapper for removal of hogs. A ridiculous amount of $ is being spent for it. Dallas has several areas feral hogs, deer and coyotes wander around. Anywhere along the Trinity on the east side of 45 hogs are in big numbers. Smaller sounders of hogs can be found in other areas of Dallas. They enter the Elm Fork shooting range at night and tear up the grounds.

Regardless, urban pig populations will continue to rise if these cities take this "sit back and watch" approach. They hired a trapper but he never caught any pigs. It was on tv awhile back. He was supposed to trap 'em then take the pigs to a hog buying station/slaughterhouse, then turn in the receipts to the city hall. Apparently, he never turned in any receipts. That means on paper, he never caught any. I was reading on his Facebook page awhile back that he was charging money for hunting on City of Dallas property. Maybe he wanted to shoot 'em with paying clients rather than trap them. Who knows? Dangerous to do that since families with kids walk nature trails down there.

Those aren't feral hogs, they are undocumented porkers.

We have caught over 50 pigs around the St.Augustine,Dowdy Ferry, and 45 area. If some of the south Dallas residents saw what we have caught in the park areas, they would shag arse. We were told about the trapper down there, so we quit running the dogs. It might have had more to do with the heat and snakes.

I don't think bow hunters could thin them out. They were so bad in S Irving, the city was trapping them a few years ago. We see them regularly in the parks along the river I can understand them not allowing gun hunters in some of these areas, but at the very least they could allow bow hunters to help thin the ranks a bit.
Regardless, urban pig populations will continue to rise if these cities take this "sit back and watch" approach.
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.
