I'm shooting thunderhead 100s. A buddy gave me some Easton axis arrows that I tried out with them and the blades are loose and one even came off in my target. I haven't had a problem with any other arrows. Is it that the hidden inserts are too shallow or too deep?

Thanks Woody

My kid shoots the exact same arrows and broadheads with no problem. Do you have the rubber bands on between the blade "keeper ring" and the arrow"?

Yes. Took them straight off my old arrows and even tried putting on new rubber bands.

if the inserts are too shallow I could see it causing the issue, also it could be from the smaller diameter arrows. Not familiar enough with those broadheads to know for sure though

That's weird, just put another rubber band on and see if you can tighten down enough then.

You should be able to tell if the inserts were to shallow or deep from the turns.
