I've been using old GI issue web gear for years, the web belt with suspenders, 2 M14 magazine pouches and a fanny pack. The ammo pouches hold about 2 boxes of shells, he fanny pack for the birds, I use a plastic grocery sack to put the birds in to keep it from getting bloody.

Here is one off the Internet with canteens, shovel, etc..

I've had my Remington game belt for 6 years that I got from academy. It's still in good shape. Snaps still in place on side pouches and elastic not stretched out on game bag. Only complaint is the belt is shrinking every year. Not sure if it will clip together this year.

Avery Bird Belt
Belt adjust easily and I like that all the pockets can be buckled closed. Great for dove/quail/teal.

Found it on sale for $20 somewhere, but I'd pay $30 knowing what I know now.

JRG...that's awesome and very funny. I grew up in SATX and I had a couple of Jon Hart stuff (cozies, shave kits) but my gf had all that crap. I know somebody is from S. Texas when I see Jon Hart. I think it would be funny if you walked out into the dove field with a jon hart Dove Bag that said JRG on it.

That being said. Go big or go home fancy kids. Look up what Orvis has. I use a Cabelas Game Bag myself and it has worked just fine for the last five years.

I bought one from Game Guard that seems to be pretty good quality. Also like those Otis Leather dove straps too.

I have the previous generation of the Cabela's bird bag in the previous posts that is going on 6 years old. I swapped the cheap nylon belt for a nice leather one and I get a lot of compliments on it. Looks and performs like a Filson for 1/2 the price.

If your going to go Orvis or Filson you might as well not stop there... If your going to go all fancy pants you better set your sights on Mulholland Bros. if you can find some.

Filson game bag is the best choice! Purchased this one back in early 80's. still
going strong, this has the heavy duck material tannish color, it seldom got wet.
You get what you pay for. Cost about 80$ then, it's made many dove/quail hunts!

Btw from Dallas here and we buy Jon Hart when we need stuff like luggage and bags. Made in Texas. Buy Texan and the stuff is very high quality and they stand behind their product. It looks new when it is years old. All my bags are in brush country. I'll be sporting the JH koozie every hunt. Keeps the drink upright. The bird bag look good.

Mine keeps shrinking too. Bought another one and it shrunk. Tough getting old and fat.

So I am guessing these are not "lifetime" shooting belts....
