I am getting more and more into ar's. Ive now been readin about triggers. If im going to install it myself should I get a drop in trigger? Any ideas on what kind to get? Im thinking a single stage. The ar I want to put it in is a 6.8 spc hunting ar. I also have a 556 I want to change the trigger also.

Geiselle SSA-E is what I'm using in a 6.8. It's a fantastic 2 stage trigger.

is it actually worth the money for someone that just used their ar to hunt mainly and just go out and shoot. Im not trying to target shoot I just mainly shoot deer/hogs and then shoot targets for fun

Try this15$ if you like it you just saved 200$... If not upgrade to the drop in. I would put some KNS pins in there while your at it. It's not hard to install. Just rember YouTube is your friend! Good luck.

yep, sure, why not

You can't beat a Geissele.

As an alternative to the more expensive options, you may want to check out the JP trigger. I'm very happy with mine.

I would tend to agree that you can't beat a Geisselle, but the JP can be tuned to a very refined let-off without much creep at about half the cost. I would characterize it as 95% of the performance for 50% of the cost, in other words.

ALG ACT trigger, Sharp crisp and no creep. Full power hammer spring will ignite any mil-spec primer.

i have a older Rock River NM trigger and its great. I recently bought another about a month ago and it was junk. My PSA battle trigger was better. Sent it back and replace with another Geissele and cant be happier.

I recently built 3 AR's. I used RR NM 2 stage in all. They are all sweet.

I have a Timney 3 pound single stage in my 6.8 and really like it.

Jard has an adjustable single-stage trigger that works well and uses the original pins. I had a Timmey at one time that was a fine trigger but I just didn't like the way it is "secured" in the lower receiver. I prefer something that CANNOT ever get loose.

My single stage triggers work out to 4 lbs after my trigger job with no take up. My NM two stage work out to 3 lbs. I'm a AR trigger newbie though, much better on 10/22 triggers.

still cant decide. I have more than one gun id like to put new triggers in. Thinking it would be better to get two rock river NM triggers or the jp original than one gieselle.

Giessele S2G. $165.00 and same as an SSA, but with a few changes.

I am satisfied with the ALG/ACT trigger, but I am not precision shooting with it.
