If any of you are looking for a nice pump gun for not a lot of money, the Winchester SXP is the way to go. Just picked mine up from Academy yesterday for $324.74 out the door. I got the black synthetic in a 3" chamber and 28" inch barrel and it is nice. Went by Wal-Mart on the way home to get some lubricant and a 100 pk. of the Winchester promo loads. They were out of 12 ga. promo loads so I got two boxes of the Winchester AA 7 1/2 shot and the lubricant. Went home and degreased and regreased it. Piece of cake. Easy gun to take apart, just be careful with the firing pin and bolt as it can get a bit tricky there (especially if you're not smart like me). Put it together and ran out back and shot off 27 shells with a friend before it got too dark to see. Tore up a blackbird and a Pepsi can with not one single malfunction (although it was only 27 shots). As you may have read from others, the slide is already pulled back the second you fire and you won't even realize you pulled it back. Super smooth and solid feel. Shot extremely fast for a pump and doesn't kick all too bad (although I am pretty resistant to recoil considering I've shot nothing but a pump). It is a Turkish made gun, but its made to a strict set of standards and so far it has lived up to them. I bought it for mostly duck and turkey. I have been shooting a Winchester 1300 with a modified choke in it for some time and can't seem to get the choke out to put a full or extra full in. It's stuck in there. Plus it's wood so the synthetic would be better suited for duck season. All in all, don't pass this gun up if you are thinking about it. Its nice. Hoping for many more shootouts with it. Hope this review helped or will help someone and thanks for reading! The bottom gun is the new one and the top one is the 1300 that I can't get the choke out of.

I never could justify a $2,000 shotgun but then again, I've never shot one either. That's why I won't look through a Zeiss either. Enjoy the new gun man. Poor black bird. lol
Man if I knew what Oxner knows I could throw away what I know

True. And I just can't afford that kinda cost so another pump gun will work for me. That blackbird had it coming.

Did you happen to even look at field model with the wood furniture? Just curious of the finish. I have yet to see one.

Thank you. And no, I was set on synthetic considering I already have a wood gun. I'm betting the synthetics far outnumber the wood ones.

Thanks for the review, I've been on the fence about one as a field gun for awhile. At that price, its hard to pass up.

It truly is a good price for a good gun. Went out and shot some last night again. Perfect and flawless.
