Ran into this on another site. Blue label Glocks being resold for profit, isn't this a no no? They sell em to military, emt guys, FF and so on, but I thought there was no fed tax making it a bad deal to resale. Anyone know? Hate to see someone go down for this

It's 1 thing if you have 1 you've used & you decide to sell. It's a whole other thing to buy just to resell. That's a big no no. Idk if distributors pay a federal tax on them or not. I know I pay state sales tax when I buy one.

Pretty sure Glock requires you to keep it a set amount of time before selling, plus the selling without an FFL rule. It's a gray area, but what isn't...

The ATF says you have to at least keep it for 24 hours. And if you are buying just to sell it, that could probably mean jail time. Buying and selling to help out your personal collection is okay, but do not do it for the sole purpose of making money

But the Glock LE discount program will no longer sell to you if you make a habit of buying and flipping them.

Hey Jason! Call GT Dist since they are a GLOCK exclusive LE/Mil dealer for this region

They are a dealer but not the ONLY LE/Mil dealer. Any Glock Armorer certified dealer can sell blue label. The price is up to the dealer but can't exceed $425 for standard models (22,23,26,27, etc.). Some dealers sell them for $398.20 but some others (CTD, my local dealer, etc.) sell them for as high as $450. I actually spoke w/Glock about CTD because their price is a violation to Glock's agreement. Glock person seemed pissed & said 'oh we'll do something about that right now!' but I doubt they'd be willing to burn that bridge. Another reason to boycott CTD!!!

Call just for the info on resale problems. ATF more probable for the buying for resale w/o an FFL

I qualify for the LE program and the closest program to me is The Gun Doctor in Longview. The cheapest LE
gun they had was like $529. I questioned it and he said glock pushed it up..... Any truth to that? I have a feeling they're liars but I wasn't sure about this.

No truth to it at all. Gen 4s are $429 here.

It's been a couple months(about 4-5) since I talked w/Glock but the prices I listed above were in effect then. It's been the same since Gen2's, maybe even 1's. $529 is regular retail, NOT LEO price.

He was implying that the LEO price increased along with the regular prices. Im not sure he can do that. He had a 19 and 23 for $709 each

He's a liar. If you qualify for blue label, a Gen 3 or 4 19/23 should cost no more than 398.20 plus tax and come with 3 mags

They have a horrible reputation in the area but I didn't think he would blatantly lie like that. I also noticed they only came with one mag... Doesn't the normal blue come with 3 mags? Not trying to blast them, but kind of unsure of the facts surrounding the situation.

According to Glocks website, he is a glock dealer but not part of the LEO program so he isn't held to their price restrictions.

Order from GT Distributors and ship to a local FFL.

So does that mean he can sell blue guns, but at whatever price he wants? If so, what's the advantage?

Thanks

The advatage is the blue guns seems to be a bit more easy to get right now. Lots of 17s and 26s sitting that are LE guns that cant be sold to a civilian. And it looks like he's pocketing some extra mags on top of it.

I was talking to another FFL this weekend and he told me that if I submitted a formal complaint to Glock then it could really effect the dealers cut he gets for sales. Especially since I bought a brand new 35 from him a year ago and it only came with one mag and this new situation.

I have seen several online gun shops offering LEO trade in pistols for sale. They too only offered 1 or 2 magazines with the gun.
I remember way back when after the Gen 1 Series of S&W autos were traded in for newer models or another brand, usually only 1 mag came with the guns.

Sometimes the LEO gun had a capacity of 13/15 rounds but was being sold with a 10 round mag. mad

I've bought a Gen 3 & Gen 4 27 from a very reputable place & both only came w/2 mags. Called Glock & they said the sub's only come w/2. Hmmmmmmm. I guess you got lucky, idk.
