It's ok for up close stuff but not worth a hoot for anything of any distance. Slow auto-focus, which is hit or miss on accuracy. I'll be upgrading very soon. I'm probably going to trade this toward a used EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens for an upgrade and then save my pennies for a EF 400 f/5.6L telephoto. Mike Buda, Tx Hunt near Freer
