Not me; I have never found a reason to hunt them. I grew up HAVING to eat whatever my grandfather killed and he didn't hunt for pleasure. So I told myself that when I grew up I'd never eat one of those nasty tasting, smelly animals in my life.

I only hunt what I eat. laugh

Wild game chef Scott Leysath (Dead Meat show) showed how to cook them.

If I remember, they only take the hindquarters, never touch the glands, and brine them overnight.

Then they slow cook with moist heat since the meat is so lean.

Said it was much better than expected.

I have openings for archery Javelina hunts on nice South Texas ranches.

Let me know if you need more information.

I used to think that way but then I remembered coyotes, coons, opossums and skunks and realized that I have to kill them to manage predator populations to protect eggs and young of animals I do eat so . . .

But I have tried beaver, muskrat and we used to eat woodchuck regular so I'd be willing to try Javy.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.
