This is easily the worst season I've ever had. With neighbors riding fencelines, feeders getting messed with, and just not seeing the quality deer that I had on camera during the summer. I was left with questions and one walk around my place gave me answers. I found the top buck last year down in a creek bottom, didnt think much of it. Maybe he got sick, wounded in a fight etc. The bottom three I found yesterday in a 40 acre property of mine. Two had visible bulletholes and the nice 10 I could not get tell anything, which was still in VELVET at the time it was shot, which is why the horns were so eroded. I have had all these bucks on cam preseason and have never got an opportunity to take one of these deer because poachers get to them first. People like this really get under my skin! And they wonder why people throw high fences up..

Turn everything over to your game Warden and start posting some IR cams in some hidden areas. You will catch them.

btw I have already talked to a game warden and he gave me the go ahead to keep the skulls considering the situation.

They look aged well past finding bullet holes to me. In my neck of the woods if its been 2 days its been too long!

This, get real proactive with spending the effort to catch these monsters, track your expenses, you may be able to recover your expenses in civil court if what you provide nails them in criminal court? Check on that. If it were me, the poachers are what is in season until I caught them on camera numerous times.

This deters however it does not punish, imho it would be better to get them caught red handed, as it carries more severe penalties, it seems his neighbor or someone using his neighbors property, or someone in general has little to no regard for the game laws and has been breaking them for some time, I would make every effort to document, video as much as possible any and all infractions and make them pay the highest price possible.

It's not the neighbors, trust me. I am really close to one neighbor and the other claims the deer to be his "pets." So he just rides the fence line whenever he knows I am out there. The problem is that it is out in the country and in the front part of the place is about a 15 acre oat patch where they feed at night and tragically the county road is right there as well. I am actually in college and its my familys place but if I have any say so in the near future I am going to plant of sunflowers or something along the front.

The small buck with the drop had a shattered rib right around the vitals area, I was just assuming that he wasn't walking around alive like that. The 8 was a little easier to tell as it had what looked like a small caliber bullet through the shoulder blade. With it being 85 degrees through November im sure it had something to do with the aging of the carcasses.
