I'm a reloader, since 1985. Taking animals with my loads since then, I own or have owned a lot of odd calibers. I have a "few" sets of dies on the shelves. There is a fine line to "collecting" things, Gold, silver, brass, powder, lead, and $, BUT I have never cared for trying to walk a fine line.

Do Y'all remember when Weatherby ammo was the ONLY ammo that was $ 1.00 a round or more? Wait that was this past summer. 10-4 on waiting it out, telling everyone that's asked about ammo. IF you NEED it, you will pay big $ now, or wait a few months and let the supply line fill up..... Apparently you never shopped for WSSM, 338 Lapua or any Nitro rounds. If you don't reload yet ... START. Yup.

You guys all sound about as bad as the Orange County House Wives.
You should write Obama and tell him to start spreading wealth of the 223 ammo

Many of us AR owners also own other guns, have owned our black rifles longer than Obama has been Pres, and bought ammo when the prices were sane.
Maybe you should direct your anger toward the proverbial "grasshoppers" instead of the "ants" instead of AR owners as a whole. Lets be fare, it isn't anyone else's fault but yours that you bought a rifle for your son after a crunch, or didn't stock up while ammo was cheap. Outside of .223, there is no .30-30 on the shelf either. I guess lever action owners need some hate too.

come on people.... enough is enough with this ammo hoarding, tin foil hat bullsht.... I tried to go buy a box or two of 223 corelokts for my sons 223 BOLT action rifle (yes, they do make other rifles in 223 other than AR's), and not a box anywhere to be found... I can see the pricing of AR15's going up due to the ban, but the ammo? give it a rest already... Maybe you should start paying a little closer attention to what is REALLY going on. Or you can wait until it's your son't bolt action that they are coming for. It's up to you.

it's going to be pretty funny when the "apocolypse" comes and all these people that have spent every dime they have are starving from trying to eat all that brass they own. LOL
"hell Earl, we ain't gotta worry 'bout nothin' we'll just shoot everything we need". or they will just take your food because they have the ammo...

Well, I'm new here. But have been reading the forums here for quite sometime. I don't normally like to get involved and believe everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But seriously guys listen to your selves, just reading the responses to some of the posts really kinda makes me sick to my stomach with mankind. Some of the posts are a fine example of what will happen when the SHTF. I've got "it" (ammo, food, water, fuel, or what ever)and basicly the attitude becomes screw you. Have we become such a hardened society that we start acting like a pack of wolves. As dumb as it may sound, we had better stand together or we will all surely fall seperately. And my hat is off to several of the people in this room offering ammo at a fair price and to even send a box of free ammo. Im sure this post will offend some, but you had better set back and look at your selves real close, because the one you turn your back on today maybe the one you have to ask for their help tomorrow. Im sure this post will offend some, but you had better set back and look at your selves real close, because the one you turn your back on today maybe the one you have to ask for their help tomorrow. "God bless America" I hear what you're saying. I don't like the "I got mine and to heck with the rest of you" attitude either. That being said, I think some of us are also frustrated with the folks who simply will not pull their heads out of their backsides long enough to take a look around, read the obvious signs of what is going on and what has a very high possibility of happening, and then take steps to prepare themselves. But for every person you see that has the attitude of not being willing to help others, you will have another ten who have the attitude that nothing can go wrong...bad things can't happen here...Obama is not out to take our guns and if anything bad does happen, the government will be here to help. It's called Normalcy Bias and lots and lots of people are afflicted with it. They have it so bad that they don't have the least inclination to take responsibility for themselves and prepare for even a storm that might cut off basic necessities for a few days, much less some event that truly means the end of the world as we know it. Their attitude is, "I'm going to let someone else take care of me". And of those who have tried to prepare for hard times, many of them have not actually sat down and thought out the scenarios that can happen. Really...just what can you do when you are the only person on your block with food and your neighbors come knocking with their hand stuck out? Do you take food out of the mouths of your own children to feed your neighbor? I'll take it a step further....do you take food out of the mouths of your own children to feed your neighbor when you had taken the time in the past to warn him of what was coming and he did nothing but mock and laugh at you? The reality is....there may actually come a time when some real hard choices have to be made. If you're in a life boat that holds 20 people, do you try to load in 50, knowing that it will sink the boat and kill everyone?

That being said, I agree, there are the ones that won't try to help themselves and will always be looking for a hand out. But there are a lot of people now days that live check to check with not a lot of extra in between checks. Makes it kinda hard to stockpile and take care of a family at the same time. Not everyone has been fortunate enough to land high paying jobs. And before you start lumping me in with the ones waiting for hand outs, I have been career law enforcement officer 25yrs. I have never drawn unemployment or disability. Do I have the stockpile of items I wish I had, no, but I have managed to stockpile some things including ammo, over the last year or so. I downsized my firearms collection and standardized on just a couple of common calibers and have bought a box or two of ammo every couple of paydays. Your right, there may come a time when some real hard choices have to be made. We had all better be praying we never have to make those choices, because when that time comes it is going to get real ugly.
