I'm looking for either a reclaimed wood beam or new beam for a mantle. I'm needing it to be approximately 6"x8"x6'. Either oak/cedar/mesquite and if it has a natural edge that would work. Does anybody on here deal with that kind of lumber? Or know of a place around Dallas? And help would be appreciated, thx

Keep an eye on Craigslist/Dallas under the materials section...usually some to be had from a guy in the design district,

I know it's a bit of a drive, but there is a place in Hillsboro that sells old reclaimed lumber. It's on 171 about 3 miles east of the outlet mall on the left side of the road.

Bought some flooring off these guys a while back. They were pretty easy to deal with and might be able to help you out.

There's a guy in Sana Anna that has any and everything you'd ever want. PM me if you want his number.

We used these for structural purposes and for the mantle. They are 8"x17"x18'...and cheap.

There is a guy in weatherford that sells walnut. Either heart cut or just cut in half with a flat top and the bottom is natural

There's a guy in Nac that gets mesquite. Last one I had to dig around to find for a guy was a 12' cut of Cypress, but I got that for him from a blow down in the back forty.
