I need some help deciding which bow to buy. Here's what I'm looking at...

1.Bowtech Tomkat $550.00
2.Martin Cheetah $400.00
3.Parker Phoenix $450.00
4.Something else in the $400-$600 range?

All three are fully equiped bows. I haven't bow hunted in 10 years, but want to start again. These are the ones I found locally in my price range. Help me out please.

Murphey's Archery Shop in North Richland Hills has a sell going on a Martin Cheetah, Not to mention he may make you a hell of a deal on his personal bow Elite Synergy(which is a lot better bow then those above)

try them out, find what fits you best after shooting the lot of bows youve picked.
TRY OUT an $800 bow and feel the difference

I assume you are wanting to stay in the 400-600 range with it fully decked out?? Check out the classifieds on archery talk. You can definately find a good bow for that over there.

But, of those 3, I would pick the Tomkat.

Until this summer I have never seen a hunter with a Martin brand of bow. I didn't see or hear anything that I didn't like about it but I didn't shoot it. Just watched the hunter peg a 50 yard bullseye a few times with it.

I have the Martin Cheetah. The whole package was just a tad over 600, with case, arrows, sight, release, ready to hunt another words. It was chronographed by the shop as an added bonus with this set up at 278 FPS. My back bow is an Alpine Denali, also a sweet shooter.

thanks for all the advice guys. I read alot about the martins and held one at academy. it seems like a nice bow. i've always liked bowtechs for some reason. my dad shoots a drenalin and i like it also. i think i will take some of ya'll's advice and look for a used one in my price range. after looking at the matthews switchback, i REALLY like the looks of it. anyone have an opinion on this bow? thanks again.

This is a great sight for orderign a bow, more so completely set up. They carry everything from the lower end to the higher end. Best of luck
