This is a Flat Rate. There are really no places that offer Trophy Fees and things of that nature in Canada. The success rate on the Moose that time of year is 70-80% Kill and Opportunity.

Damn just realized the dates and no way can i get out of a shut down at the chemical plant that time of year, yeah i td my boss id damn near wana quit cause they did it that time of year lol, maybe next year.

That sucks, will be a great hunt at a ridiculous price! Maybe next year is right though.

It is 50% to book a spot yes.

This hunt is with Savage Encounters out of Caroline Alberta. It is 1 hour and 45 Minutes NW of Calgary, Alberta. If flying, you would fly into Calgary and be picked up by the outfitter and driven to the lodge. This is a 2 hunter x 1 guide hunt which is the normal for 95% of hunts up here.

Do you know how much it typically is to get the animal home?
Is it asumed that lodging and meals are included? What is lodging and how much does the hunter need to bring other than hunting equipment?

I would have to check into the cost of getting the animal home. No idea to be honest. All my clients thus far that have taken moose up here have driven even from Texas. You can bet on about 600lb plus of meat and then the Head and antlers!!! Yes that is full accomodations and meals, and guide. And what you need to bring other than your hunting gear is nothing!!!

What is the process to cross firearms into canada? What are the fees?

Its an archery hunt so there are no firearms to declare

But to answer the question it is as simple as filling out a 1 page form in triplicate and bringing it to the border to sign in front of a customs agent. The fee is $25. It is a very easy process actually.

I got a 48" moose up in Canada this year....it was $430 to have the cape, and meat shipped home by refrigerated truck...if i was to bring it home by plane it was over $650...btw this is a awesome deal and i'd jump on it if i didn't go this Sept...next year is mule deer.
