My biggest pet peeve is when you get up early, sneak into your stand, try to be as quiet as possible, and when you pick up your beer can, it crushes and makes all kind of noise. Spooking the deer. They make these things out of very thin material these days.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

People who assume you don't know anything based on age. Especially the older city guys who don't respect you because of your age, even though I'm in the woods and field all year every year and they come out a month or two before season and think they know their stuff and you don't.
Kind of like the folks who fill up their feeders the weekend before and complain... You must be 25... Us "mature" guys are always gonna be that way most of the time. So will you. One day.

Climbing in the stand and having my stomach decide its time to take a dump.
You're fine all morning, drive out park, walk in, get in the stand, and just about when everything is settled your stomach kicks in to day, "we got to go, and we got to go now!"

But good point. I know some 20 something year olds who have outdoor experience and wisdom at their young age....but then, I've hunted with the youngster who ran his mouth off with an opinion every time. Got a good laugh though on this posting.....Just wait til you get older and can complain like us old guys you young whipper snapper.....

When I was majoring in Wildlife and Fisheries Science back at A&M, Brothers and Ray had just published their book. I was CERTAIN that I knew more than anyone else about wildlife in general and deer in particular. Now, 40 years later, I'm still learning more...but knowing less.

The fact that it's always something! Whether it be the cows, the wind, the hornets, the pesky squirrels, the doe that gives you away, having a cough lol. There is always something to mess my hunt up. But I would rather be out in that deerstand with a busted hunt than sitting at home or at work any day!

Hunters that look down on other hunters for hunting differently than they do. ^^^^ This followed by self righteous posts on here. Also spiderwebs on the trail in, wasps, creaking chairs, blowing does, nocturnal bucks, and FINALLY posts asking people to score a deer.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

Since I don't hunt out of a stand, rain is my biggest enemy. I don't like to sit in the rain. My second biggest pet peeve is...rain.

Getting to the property late and trying to quietly sneak to your blind, only to have your knees and ankles pop and creak with every step. Now I just sing at the top of my lungs on my way to the blind so the deer can't hear me popping.

Someone hunting my stand without permission. Ask and you're good, but do it without asking and as Kenny Powers would say....You're @#$%^&* OUT!

When the sun glares into the side windows of my truck.
When the winds blowing the wrong direction and I can't smoke a cigar or listen to the radio.
When the seat heaters run the batteries down.
Yellow Jackets looking for a warm spot and my truck is the target.
And my number one peeve is the lights coming on when I hit the ignition switch to roll the windows down.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

Deciding to let a buck walk and then kicking yourself the rest of the season because you never saw anything even close to that size the rest of the season or getting buck fever on a 4 1/2 year old 10 point and then that afternoon a 170" 12 point eats at your feeder for 2 hours.
