I am 15 miles south of Breckenridge. The last two weeks of bow season we saw younger bucks chasing (trying to figure out the whole process) but last weekend we saw several bigger bucks chasing too. I had pretty good success last weekend rattling as we rattled up 4 different bucks Saturday & Sunday. One thing for sure on our ranch is they have almost completely stopped coming to the feeders. I think it is mostly because there are so many acorns plus they are starting to chase.

This evening in throckmorton i saw a 140" ten chasing and a 115" 8 trailing does nothing to a feeder just corned roads and they stopped long enough to get a good look at them. The rut is hot and heavy it seems

We are in far south Stephens county and it has not started yet, but there is starting to be more movement, especially with the fronts moving through.
