Heck of a deer!!!

That sucks and if I didn't trust the LO and thought he was letting people hunt the place I was leasing, I would move on. I would talk to the LO and let him know you were on the ranch and heard the shot.

How far away is the "other" ranch?

I couldn't suck it up but it depends if your really like the place. If you pursue it further it could lead to you getting removed.

No idea how far it is. This is the first I've heard of it.

Sucks that you invested so much money and time into that deer and the landowner just lets someone shoot it.

I know the guy personally that shot the deer! Have no idea how yalls hunting works out there but he owns a large ranch and to my knowledge they run hunts on it and do not lease any of it.

Do you mind me asking what ranch you hunt on?

I know exactly where the deer was shot and unless things have changed this year I am 99.9% sure you dont hunt very close to where this deer was shot!

That picture looks like it was taken in the evening. Looks waay too dark out for 7:45am...just my opinion.

The deer was shot right before dark about 500 yards from his ranch head quarters( I say his ranch its his dads ranch), he called me right after shooting the deer! I am pretty sure this story isnt close to the truth. For one the ranch he owns is 18,000 acres and two I just talked to him and he said they run day hunts only on the ranch and its not leased out to anyone!

I just realized story said buck was shot this morning, this deer was shot Tuesday evening under MLD

I could be wrong but it sure looks the same buck to me! And pretty sure that date says Oct 30th (this is on my phone) so now I think the person who wrote this post probably should delete it because its a made up story!

this buck was shot on the Nail Ranch in Albany, TX, tuesday afternoon under the MLD permit. It was not shot today. This buck has been on his facebook page since tueday afternoon. Whoever you are, you DO NOT lease anything on this man's land.. they only trophy hunt this land. This ranch is in Shackleford county and there are NO leases around that ranch. I live in Denton county too, so if you want to know anything else about that land or that person you can contact me....Evidently you do not even know your own deer...

Alright, I will come clean. This is Bucky Nail's deer. I started this whole thing to screw with Bobo The Clown since he didn't come hunting with us this weekend. He bought it hook, line, and sinker.

All is good people. This is a legit buck, and a great one at that. There are no landowner issues.

It was all Jepsens fault.
