Anybody had any luck with the "hog lights"? They attach to the feeder. I believe you can make them motion activated or steady burn on a timer. Just curious if these work or if a good old fashioned spotlight is better...

Go to Wal-mart and get the solar spotlights, about $10 dollars, they work great and cheap. I can sit 100yds from my feeder and shoot a hog with scope on 9 power. They will last 6 hours before they go dim.

I've had pretty good luck with a battery motion light from Harbor Freight. It has LEDs and a solar charger and costs less than $20 with the coupons they're usually running. The light doesn't seem to bother the hogs a bit. I'm sure it's not as bright as the lights made specifically for hunting, but it seems okay for the price. If you like it you can eventually go for something better. If you don't, you're out less than $20.

I have two unwritten rules:
1.
2.
