My old Stealth Rogue finally gave up the ghost after 4 yrs.. So with that being said, I am now in the market for a new cam. I havent heard or read much good on the new Stealth cams so I am looking at the Bushnells. I have read some pretty good reviews on them. Would like to hear some of yalls opinions.

I have two trophy cam HDs, new as of June or July and have run them since then. They worked well out of the box and have performed flawlessly in the field. I tried the video mode for a week, burned some battery down in the process, but got some really good video in the process. I have it running with a 8GB sd card and that is enough room for 8000 5mb pics, and I ran over 700 10 second video clips on the one with room to spare.

I would recommend them. In picture mode, battery life has been very good. Lots of night photos and little battery drain. I replaced a full set of 8AA bats after the videos ran the bats down. That is the first set of bats since putting them in. In picture mode the batteries were around 3/4-2/3 full after several months of lots of day and night pics.

Pic quality is good, has very fast trigger at night and day, and very few false pics.

Only issue with them is the white out issue which is widely reported around the internet on close night targets. if you can, keep it at least 15 feet from the target at night.

I would recommend the trophy cam HD, though can't speak of the trophy cams that are being sold exclusively for cabelas and such, not sure they are the same thing...

I like mine after two seasons I'm on my second set of batteries. The trigger isn't as sensitive as my hunten camera but it's good for deer to about 30 ft. Both day and night.

I'd be a vegitarian too if bacon grew on trees.

Mine lasted four years and finally bit the dust this weekend. I thought it was a really good camera, but I know others have had issues. I did have to have a replacement within the first week of buying it but the second unit was spot on for the last four years. For what is worth, mine was up year round.

I have four. That should tell you something. They are not perfect but they are very good in nearly all important categories-including price. Good pics, decent trigger speed, easy to use, and long battery life.

I have the HD and 2 of the bone collector versions. The differences are the HD reaches out about 15' further at night than the bone collectors and shows temperature.

I recommend the HD...good pics and awesome battery life. I splurged for the lithium AAs and they have been running for months and still show full.

I can post some recent pics if you'd like.

Got 2 of the bone collectors also but need 1 more. Thanks for the info on the HD I really like the menu on the Bushnells and battery life is great. You cannot go wrong here.

DAY

NIGHT

I've had mine two years, run it year round. I have had no issues, love the battery life. I can't say that about my Moultries. I also have a Primos, had to send the first one back, but they sent me a new one that has been running strong for over a year.

These downloaded pictures are a reduced resolution they don't do it justice.

Good Hunting,
Gary

The first pic is a daylight picture from the HD, the second is in full darkness from the same camera. I also forgot the HD has moon phase and the ability to name each camera, the bone collectors do not offer this.

This image is the bone collector at pitch dark...see how much less it reaches out than the HD version.

Here's a good one from the HD a few days ago in daylight.
