Anyone ever retrofit a popup blind to a 2man tree stand? I have a couple of 2man ladder stands on my place and after sitting in the rain all day today I got to thinking about ways to not have to do that again. Plans, pictures, thoughts?
Thx,

Thinking of doing the same with a tripod. Been looking at the sizes of some cheap ground stands.... most are over 60" at the bottom. Sounds like some zip tyes may be in order
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

Hmm. How about one of those portable pop up camp showers made like a tent? You would just have to paint it camo.

I have toyed with the similiar idea and builing a platform in the base of a tree where the branches split off from the main trunk. Just have to find the right tree in the right spot

You can buy those big camo umbrella looking things that attach to the tree. That would probably help out alot

I thought of the umbrellas that attch to the tree but they dont seem to be big enough around to cover my 2man stands. Unless someone knows of a particular product that would work......?
Thx,

I used the one from academy before and it worked great. You can really do anything better cheaper. It lasted 3 seasons out all year in east texas. I did slash some holes in the sides since any wind really got it moving. It also held big pools of water in the top but, I fixed that by adding some coat hanger supports. Good luck,

FYI, I did see a guy at the hunters extraveganza in Housotn who made a tower platform for pop up blinds.... It was exactly what I was looking for but, @ $600 I felt I might as well spend a little more for a solid blind on a wooden tower. I recommend builting one out of 4x4's you can get and wesome one for under $100.

i have the set up gogburn post above from Academy, It wasnt made to fit my brand of 2 man ladder stand, but was able to turn the roof support rods around and make it fit mine. as for the bottom part it will fit all 2 man ladder stands. seems to work well for me.

Gogburn and Steve2010, is the roof part wide and deep enough to cover the stand occupants fairly well from the rain?
Thanks,
