Elusive wildlifes "kill light". Made by the same folks that make the xlr-250 gun light. $50.

I use one of the motion activated flood lights like you use in your driveway. Its solar powered so never have to mess with it. I think its been up for 2-3 years now, and still works like a champ. Dont remember what I payed but it was under a bill. The white light didnt seem to bother them at all either.

It was around $15 with a coupon. I mounted it to a board which I then bolted to a T-post. It's been working for a year now. It doesn't light up a huge area, but it's sufficient. As stated above, the white light doesn't seem to bother the hogs.
I have two unwritten rules: 1. 2.

Right now, I am testing some Mr. Beam's 3 D cell motion activated flood lights. I have tried a couple of others and the turning on and off does sometimes spook the deer, but they never seem to go very far away and they come right back. I have watched this several times while awaiting pigs. This big boy was caught a dozen times or so the night this image was taken, over a course of several hours. He apparently came and went and sometimes had a buddy with him. The light is mounted in a tree. It is actually a bit too close and what I would like to do is to get a ladder and mount it higher for a more overhead and moonlight-like projection. Here is a link to Amazon where I got the lights. $20. I am running 3 right now and by and large and I am quite pleased. They are not solar, but the batteries are supposed to last a very long time. http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Beams-Wireless-...roof+spotlights

I use the LED walkway lights from WalMart. I tie one to each of the tripod legs and one on each T-Post. Just use a zip tie to hold them. They provide a nice moon glow light that doesn't scare the hogs and provides enough light to see the crosshairs and the pigs in your scope. You don't have problems of the lights coming on when they walk in and scaring them. On at dawn off at dusk. Depending on how much sun they get, they will stay on all night. Even on a cloudy day they will stay on until past midnight, which is past my bedtime anyway. Cheap, but effective.
Good Hunting, Gary
