There is a NSTRA trial at the Anna trial grounds Sept. 29th and 30th. The trial is already filling up fast so if you'd like to run a dog enter quick! If you've never been to a trial and are interested come on out and watch. You can ride with a judge and ask all the questions you want while watching great dog work. It's a great tune up for you and your dog for bird season!

I got word today that the trial has been moved to Corsicana. That made it two hours closer to me, so I entered Cracker for all 4 runs.

Corsicana would be closer for me too. I wish I would have known sooner. Cash will be running in a AKC hunt test that weekend.

Guys, check out nstra. Its a fun game that preps your dog for real hunting situations, and extends the quail season when its over. You can run a 30 minute brace with birds for what it would cost you to buy pen birds and plant them yourself. EXCELLENT training tool!!

We've been down that road on the forum before. Some people would rather tell about their dogs, than to show. You have to be able to take a few lumps. Cracker is 5 years old and has never had a placement, but she's clean and has a lot of fun. She beats national champions in some areas. My Cookie won our regional elimination at two years old. She had more disqualifications than she had placements when she made champion.

I just got a report from the National Endurance trial in Montana. All or most of the Texas dogs advanced. Some people plan to stay and hunt a few days.

Congratulations!!! Your FIL won the national Enduraqnce.

Not that I know of. I got my information in an email.

Do you mind sharing what you know? If not no biggie. I was going to text Rob but I know they were going to hunt a few days afterwards and I didn't want to bug him.

It was an email from Deb Heaton. She wrote that Bobby Clark won the trial and that one of Dale's dogs won one of the Saturday's trials.

They moved it back to Anna. Now I'm not going. I have a sick wife and cant be away for two nights. I just got this email from Dale;

"Bill – Today we decided to leave the trial in Anna since you were the only Gulf coast entry.

We have picked up 5 OK region dogs over the week end and 2 LST dogs to make the trial."
