Looking at buying Layout blinds for myself and grandsons,Last year we hunted a lot in flooded wheat fields and a big blind wont work due to rain and water level and a layout gives you an option of changing locations. I am looking for input on what brand and models are the best easy to use and will last and not fall apart. I am a big guy and I want mine roomie.Give me some ideas.

for bigger guys, a avery m-2 migrator is going to be one of the best bets, for something lower profile an easier to hide id look at xlandrs or x-2 by final approach and the avery groundforce. Depends how big you are if those later options would be comfortable but they may be a good choice for the grand kids. They are cheaper as well then the m-2 so may be a good option if you are the one buying them for the grand kids.

if you aren't walking in I would look at Cabelas Ultimate. Has a rubber bottom so you can put it in the water if you need too

I've had pretty good luck with the Final Approach series of blinds and would lean to their product over Avery. That said I don't know how big of a guy ya are but I'm about 6' 3" an about 215 and I fit great in my Final Approach Xlandr and am comfortable. I checked out an X-2 this past weekend an it felt identical to me in size/comfort, really the only thing I noticed different was the doors didn't have the rods that you have to insert into them like on an Xlandr which I thought was a positive change.

i like the northern flight mobile 1.
lightest one out there 9.5 lbs
quick 3 fold set up, takes 10 seconds.
cheaper one out there.
was able to buy it online at 145$ minus 20% coupon

From a safety stand point I would recommend getting your dog its own blind. Plenty of options out there for them and they can be found relatively cheap

I actually just purchased one brand new in the box from the cabelas bargain cave to have for guests and it seems to be a solid blind!

Yep, don't want to shoot over your dog's head. I keep my dog on the side and covered with burlap sack, even then I have to always watch for my dog kreeping up into shot path.
