I know the 12 gauge I had was somewhat picky on lighter loads so what works on the 20 gauge since I need to go stock up on dove loads and would rather not buy a case to find out it won't cycle them

I had a 12 gauge AL 390 and it didnt like the light dove loads, it would shoot them but wouldnt always cycle them like the heavier loads. Just curious if the 20 gauge was the same way before I go waste a case of shells it wont cycle.

I have a 391 Sporting 20ga 28" barrel and a 390 20ga 26" brl.

Both have shot anything I put in them.

I Dove hunt, Skeet, Clays and have fun with the 391. It's Big brother a 381 12ga is now a, "Sage Queen!" blush grin

All I dove hunt and shoot clays with is the Academy Promo loads they sell this time of year.

Is the gun broke in?

I have several thousand rounds through my 20ga now, less than 500 in the 12ha.

Fed, Estate, Win, Wolf, RIO & Rem all have shot well in the 20

I’ve got a 20 gauge AL391 that will shoot the promo Federal loads that Academy sells all day long, but the promo Winchester ones fail to eject so often that I might as well be using a single shot.

I talked to Beretta about it and they told me that I just needed to shoot more to break in the gun, and clean it more often. That was total BS. I did some research and found lots of people complaining about this problem. Seemed like the most common solution was a new spring from Cole’s Gunsmithing who offers one for light loads. I got one and have had no problems ever since. They are at: http://www.colegun.com/collections/cloth...g-set-2-springs

I had issues of it acting like a single shot too AL391 Urika.. Took it to the gunsmith for some tuning. Haven't shot it since. Have a .20 Double for reserve. Use the .12 Browning for most eveything else.

You probably should just get rid of it. Someone on here will take it off of your hands.

Winchester Super-X Game Load works flawlessly in my semi-auto 20 gauge Beretta.

My botnet is bigger than yours.
