We have covered most of the bases when it comes to food but I haven't seen anything about Chinese food around here. We like eating at Szechuan in Ft Worth, they have a good lunch menu at a reasonable price. They will make it anywhere from spicy to no heat at all. At work we try to make it by the Szechuans off of Bryant Irvin and I-20 a couple times a month. Sure is hard to beat Chicken with Peanuts-spicy of course-with egg drop soup, steamed rice, and iced tea for under $9. Lets hear it folks...

Not Chinese food strictly speaking, but there used to be a Mongolian Grill on Cooper just south of 20 in Arlington. I haven't been there in a while, but I guess it is still around. It was an all-you-can-eat arrangement for about $10, and man was it tasty!

Don't know if it's still there or good anymore, but years ago when I worked in dallas there was a good Chinese place called The Wok on I35 at Motor St.

We really like Szechuan over in Fort Worth (Locke Ave). Great people and great food.

I love Szechuan and actually prefer the one on Bryant Irvin just because their eggrolls are better (same recipe, but a noticable difference in taste for some reason).
I don't know of any other decent chinese food in Fort Worth. Used to eat at a few places in east Arlington, but it's been years.

Taste of Asia at Basswood and Beach St in north Ft Worth. They do Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai. Some of the best around.

I used to be a regular there when I worked Downtown. New Big Wong located on Greenville in Dallas..and it is about the cheapest you'll find too.

I've never considered PF Changs to be real Chinese food. IMO, if the people cooking and eating in the place don't reflect the cultural origin of the place, then that place doesn't offer the serious foods of that ethnicity. There is a dim sum place about 1km from my home, the gals that work there speak not a lick of English -- you point at what you want, and at least half of the guests are Chinese -- THAT gives me the idea they know dim sum....

What about the Plano/Frisco AO? Anything truly Chinese that you guys think is awesome? I won't claim to be an authority on what's "truly chinese" but as long as you're venturing up into Collin Cty you can't go wrong with Imperial Garden in McKinney on Eldorado Pkwy. Been a customer for many years and have NEVER been disapointed. Fresh food prepared well with excellant service.

In Dallas try Royal China - Buck Kao founded it and his daughter still owns/runs the place. Pretty busy place on the weekend nights though.

There are a number of good ones in the Richardson area.
Speaking as an ethnic Asian, here's the secret to finding a good Chinese restaurant: Go survey the restaurant on Sunday noon to afternoon. If the parking lot and restaurant are packed with Asian people, it's probably a good place to eat.

What about the Plano/Frisco AO? Anything truly Chinese that you guys think is awesome? 3 6 9 BBQ SW corner of Legacy and Coit. You will find GREAT Chinese food. Great Chinese BBQ, and decent people to serve it. My wife and I are there at least once a week. You will not find a buffet or the crappy food associated with them.
