I ate there last night and I guess this is the end of a era for me! I have been eating there for 40 years and recently the original owners son lost it in his divorce. It was awful last night!

One waitress working and she was also the cashier. The bbq was tough as boots and what used to be my favorite potato salad tastes like someones first attempt at making salad out of instant pototoes! I sure hate to see it because it used to be one of my favorite bbq places. I guess now I will try Hard 8's bbq or eat Mexican when I am in Brady!

Only hard 8 I have eaten at that I like is the on in Stephenville...others just didn't taste all that great

Hard 8 in Brady is closed, was always a dice game goning there anyways. Sure hate to hear about Mac's. Jacoby's was always more convient for us anys. Best breakfast in the area for sure, didn't mind eating lunch or dinner there either.

Hard 8 is closed. Last week saw them cleaning out the FF&E.

Anyone know why they closed? You'd think they'd try to sell it instead of just shuttering it.

From my understanding, they closed it because it was a PITA to manage especially when they want to concentrate on the Metromess. It only did really good business 5 months out of the year, meaning they we constantly hiring and letting go. Was just to far away and too hands on for them when their hands were already pretty much tied up in DFW.

Dang, Mac's was our go to place. Hopefully, it will turn around after a little time. We didn't care for Hard 8, so no big deal to us if their closed.

yes hard 8 is closed Chuck owned it before phillip bought it. Mac's has gone way down hill since shannan had it stole from him and the cajun restaurant is called boonedocks and it is awesome.
