Well it took about 13 months to finally make it happen, but through Father of 4 and his Hunting with the Soldiers program, I was able to get a couple Vets down to the Ranch for some Bass fishing. They arrived Saturday morning to breakfast burritos and coffee, hit the water and started catching fish. Saturday morning they caught about 50+ fish, then we headed to Mary's in Strawn for a Chicken Fried Steak on us, then back out to the ranch for some shooting and more fishing. Dinner consisted of Roasted Pepper and Mushroom Elk Cheeseburgers, Grilled Aspairagus, and Bacon wrapped Jalapeno Poppers. More fishing Sunday morning before they headed back home. Between Saturday Night and Sunday Morning they caught another 50+ and took home right around 20Lbs cleaned ready to eat fillets. was a great weekend and look forward to doing it again.

I must say. I love this this Forum. The people on here are so willing to treat the GREAT men and women who defend our country so that we have the privilege to hunt / fish or just enjoy the outdoors. Without their sacrifice we would have none of this. I know too often we take for our freedom granted.
Thanks again to Furb and his friends / guides’. You guys taking the time treat some our countries best to weekend of fishing. I tip my hat to you sir.

Furb how did they like the motel on Friday in case you want to do this again, I will put the next Soldiers in there on that Friday night.

They seemed to like the hotel just fine, they did not say anything bad. Thanks for all the nice comments, my buddies really spent some time with the guys on the water and put a lot into it, can not say thanks enough to them. Looking forward to the next round, may try sometime in September.

Hey Guys! Both of us had a blast of a time. Best fishing exp. we could have had. I've had customers approach me at Gander Mountain telling me they were surprised at our catch. I think you guys have a bombshell of a fishing hole—never seen it so good. Sure know how to manage your tank. Thanks for sharing with the vets. I feel good about serving for Americans like ya’ll.
