The Trinity Valley Vizsla Club will be having a fun day along with a snake clinic out at the Anna Trial grounds on Saturday, June 9th. All are welcome to sign up and participate in the clinic. We have Dave Jones of Chief's Brittanys coming to conduct the clinic. More information can be found on his website here at http://brittanys.com/snake.htm.

Lunch will be available for $5 per plate.

As you already know, there have been a high number of snakes seen so far this season. I believe most would agree this is a good idea for your dogs. The cost is $50 per dog. I will keep a spreadsheet for those of you who want to sign up. Our goal is to have 20 or more dogs enrolled. If this is something you would like to do, please send me your name, email address, phone number along with the names of the dogs you would like to have participate. I would like to get a count as soon as possible.

Feel free to send this information to any and all clubs that you are aware of who might have an interest. We need ample participation to ensure it is worth Dave's time and resources to make the trip.

Do you know if they will be providing the snake vaccine at the event?

Dave did say that he would have the vaccine available at the event.

Take I-75NB. Exit 455 or, the Anna exit. You'll see a Love's Gas Station, a Grandy's and a couple liquor stores. Take a left over the bridge an drive about 2 miles and you'll see a big curve to the right. Right before that curve on the left youll see a gravel road with a white NSTRA sign in the ground, go left and it dead ends into the trial. I have to work Saturday but I'll be there Sunday. Same thing next weekend as well.

Yes it is in Anna. The directions on the website are to Dave's place but he will be doing this clinic at the Anna lease/ Trial Grounds. We now have about 27 dogs registered and can take more.

the snake clinic is on for this Saturday morning. It will begin about 8AM and go until we are done and will be first come first served. There is little shade available and will get hot quickly. I would advise a pop-up shade if you have one. Also, you will need to bring your own water for you and your dogs. Brings lots of it if you plan to stay long. The cost is $50 per dog (cash please).

I would also recommend some bug spray. The chiggers are bad out there right now.

Directions from Dallas

Take I-75NB. Past McKinney to Anna, take Exit 455 or, the Anna exit. You'll see a Love's Gas Station (right), a Grandy's and a couple liquor stores. Take a left over the bridge an drive about 2 miles and turn left onto County Road 937 (gravel road). Go to the end and the Trial grounds are on the right. Go through the gate and find the best place to park.
