Can't get a simple answer to a simple question so topic removed....

There is only one dumb question: "Why did'nt I ask about that?"

My idea of a trophy deer or hog mount is chicken fried, on my plate, ready to eat!

I think $1250 is probably stretching it quite a bit. Looks like standard stock, grip, and a drop in quad rail I dont recognize. I wouldnt consider the scope, reddot, lights, lasers, quad rail, bipod, or rings in the price unless they are name brand, quality stuff. If you list out the full specs we can give u a better idea. Based on what info you have given and pics, i'd say $700-800 tops.

Just noticed that scope is BSA and reddot is Tasco. Yeah, dont include those in your price.

Thanks for the input Jeeper but there is no way I would let it go that cheap, have a lot more than that in it. It is in great condition.......

Don't be afraid of the optics, they are good optics for the money with warranties as good as the high dollar stuff...

A long time ago when I was into buying and selling baseball cards I figured out something real quick. Didn't matter what I paid for a baseball card or how much Beckett listed it at. The baseball card was only worth as much as someone was willing to pay.

So you may have paid $1250 for that rifle, but it's only worth that much to you or to an uneducated buyer. Just trying to be realistic with you since you asked our opinions. Good luck if you decide to sell. If you do decide to sell, you will definitely need to list out every detail of the rifle. My advice is to make a list of all the components of your rifle and research the average price of all components. Then add up the total of all the rifle components. Then deduct some percentage, say 10-20%, since it is a used rifle. This is what I typically do when I sell a gun that is hard to value.

The man didn't ask if you approved of his gun. He asked for advice. Why do you have to hate on what he likes? Yes we all know you are better hunters because you hunt in buckskins with a sling shot and sharpened sticks. smile

Just a little friendly ribbing.

+1 Some good advise here.

There are different kinds of buyers for AR's. People who want quality, and people who want a gun. you can buy a cheap AR for $600-$750 brand new thats probably on the same quality as your rifle.

Good luck.

While this must be a joke, i'll play.

MAYBE 800....if you take the scope and the other junk off. You can get 20bucks for the other "stuff".

Since you asked for opinions... The scope, red dot, light and laser are probably worth $50-100. You can get a RRA lower complete in the neighborhood of $300-$350. The YHM upper, depending on the barrel is probably worth around $400-$500. The drop in quad rail looks to be UTG's old line of rails and you can't even give them away. I assume the scope mounts, bipod and sling adapter are fairly cheap ones as well?? IMO, a very high estimate would be about $800-$850.

When I first started with my AR I bought lots of cheap stuff to try and make my AR tacticool. I learned very fast just how hard it is to get rid of that cheap stuff and a bunch of it now sits on my 10-22.

This is the truth... I learned the hard way buy once cry once. You will be happy you did.

Wait until the election and if Obama gets elected again you will probably be able to pull $1500 out of it. However if Repub gets elected and prices stay the way they should be, you are looking at around $750 which I think is high estimate. Since you can buy a new factory base flat top spikes for around $750 which when you take all that airsoft crap off yours is what you have a base flat top rifle. Except yours is a franken gun (2 different brands pieced together) and the spikes is brand new factory gun. I wouldn't pay more than $550 for it. I'm not trying to be rude, just giving my honest opinion which is what you asked for.

Just for a reference point this is a spikes tactical factory M4.
It has magpul ACS stock, Magpul MOE grip, Magpul PMAG, Magpul MBUS, has Midwest Industries 12" free float rail system covered in Magpul XT rail covers, has a KAC forward vert grip, has surefire G2 light, YHM phantom flash hider, EoTech 512, Troy QD sling hardware, Troy 2 point battle sling, custom zombie killer dust cover.

Now with all that listed, I'd probably be going out on a limb getting $1200 for this rifle without EoTech. Every part on my gun besides the flash light mount is top quality stuff and I could maybe pull that much if I were to sell this.

Not trying to dogpile, but jeeperbryan and others are right that your accessories do not add any value to the rifle.

I'm not one that others would consider a gun snob either. I have a M&P 15 Sport with a Millet red dot. The rifle meets my needs, but my red dot and Primary Arm mount do not add value. If I were to sell my Sport (no way that will happen cool) I would remove the red dot and mount and put it on one of my other plinkers, or just throw them in with the deal.

Not going to PM thoughts.

Strip everything off of it & sell the items individually. Selling that thing with everything bolted on to it will lose you a lot. Don't do it.

I wouldnt sell your Millet and Primary Arms stuff short. Its not the best but both brands have a good reputation and PA stands behind their products. I'll buy used PA or Millett any day at the right price!

Don't get me wrong, they work well and I like them. But, realistically, the red dot I have can be purchased new for $70 and the cantilever mount for $30. I bought the mount used for $15. grin
