my catahoula walker would rather hunt tree rats than hogs!! he loves loves squirrels, and that nose of his is one of the best i've seen!

anybody around Ft Hood need a wounded warrior hunting partner for squirrels? love shooting them and love eating them even more!! Would trade out light work, brush clearing for the opportunity!

As a boy I would hunt squirrel with a friend and his untrained beagle. The beagle was mostly just happy to be out in the woods with us, but he would occasionally tree one before we saw it. One of us carried a Nylon 66 the other a 20 gauge. If the squirrel was dumb and ran out on a limb the .22 dispatched him. If he was smart and kept the trunk between himself and the guns we would circle the tree until he was exposed to the 20 gauge. That was some of the most fun I ever had hunting (part of it was being out in the woods with guns without any parents around, I think).

Unlike Tom and Huck, however, our mothers were ungrateful when presented with a backpack full of squirrel. Horrified in fact.

I have a Blue Heeler that tree those things with the best of them. I have to spell the word Squirrel when He's with me in the front yard. Outherwise he goes on a neighborhood wide Squirrel hunt at full speed.

There is no closed season here in Denton County which almost makes it worth the ap permit just to go hunt squirrels with a ss 410 whenever you want.

I hardly ever hunt squirrels but I want to this year. I usually use a cage trap and I've only caught 2. But I have some #1 CSs and some 110s so maybe I San get a few. Y'all know any quick acting bait?
