I don't know what model you have, but my father been shooting one for about 15 years now with no problems. I know they are not supposed to be the "best" gun by many, but he seems to like his.

I have been using a Savage 110 in .30-06 for all of my big-game hunting. It's been great; accurate, reliable, sturdy. I don't see any reason to change.

Sure, it's not as pretty as a Remington 700 BDL, but it works every time, whether I've been using Managed Recoil ammunition or cheap Yugoslavian soft points.

I have Savage 110 in .30-06 and it is a great gun. I had the trigger worked on which helped it and me tremendously. I have other Savage rifles also and there are no flys on any of them.

I bought a Savage package series 111FXP with Accutrigger and 3x9x40 scope from the Denton Walmart for under 400 last year and it was accurate within 1 inch at 100 yards... Great gun, easy to take care of and it a nail driver. Has 4 kills under its belt already.

I have the same model as TxPhantom in 25-06 and it shoots way better than I can as long as I keep the bullets under 110 grains. For some reason it or the combination of me and the rifle doesn't like 117g sierras from federal, or the 1 in 10 twist in the barrel. It'll put 100g corelokts in the mouth of a dr pepper can at 100 all day if I do my part.

I would like to upgrade the stock some day, Just feels a little flimsy to me. But I am not use to plastic stocks yet. I did upgrade to a limbsaver recoil pad and that has made this rifle a dream to shoot. You can get one that fits almost perfectly in the old ones place, they are called precision fit pads.
