Does anyone have any suggestions for a good muzzle break for an AR15 .223? I have a Bushmaster and it has more muzzle jump than my .270.

Wow, my AR15 kicks like my .22. Although I did have a JP Enterprises brake put on my LR 308 by THEBBC/Titansweapons on here.

I would advise against it, AR's are loud enough already and a break will probably make it worse. I've had them on hunting rifles and they are loud and chances are my hunting rifles have a longer barrel than your AR.

breaks are great, and they take the jump out and not much louder at all.

I'v shot AR15 and 40 years ago M16s in the service, still shoot them. an AR15 with more muzzle rise than a .270? you dont want it on full auto for sure, waste of ammo. as far as a muzzle brake, cant see needing one.

It'll definitely be louder, but the benefits out weigh the negatives. I shoot with "ears" on anyway. You could get a brake that's a clamp on style, so you could put a thread cap on in the field (if you use your rifle for hunting) and not have to worry about hearing protection.

I like a brake on all of my rifles. Though it's unneeded, I use a brake on my .243, nothing beats a .243 that kicks like a 17HMR.

" is exactly what the name implies, a Battle Compensatorť. It is not intended to be the best muzzle brake or best flash hider on the market and doesn’t claim to be. However, they do claim to be the best combination of the two, and the most well rounded."

agree, it is a muzzle brake. increased muzzle blast, reduced recoil. get you some earplugs.
