I get to check mine everyday, unload them in the evenings and have a nice cool place to store them to transport. But yea, we do get some that stroke out. He almost did

It doesn't matter what the scales read, we all know that pigs shrink at least 20% the instant they get within 50 yards ofa set of scales.
You were talking live weight as well were you not? well it is also a known fact that pigs don't like standin on the dam things and so they always pick a foot up.
That is enough to throw things off.

Man, thats not bad, $110-$125 for that one hog. Im gonna have to get serious about trapping ad stopp giving them away, lol. Of course, most of the ones Im catching are in the 50-120 lbs range. What kind of trap gate do you use on your trap?
