I hunted Bell Co. once. The property belonged to a buddy. All I saw were stray dogs and meth cooks dumping their used chemicals along a county road. Never saw a deer in 3 days of hunting.

I guess it depends on the location within Bell Co. though.

I lived and worked in Bell county for 20 years. The west side holds more deer and if you are around Morgans Point resort you can hunt them with a slingshot. On the east side there aren't as many deer but I have seen some monsters out around Rogers.

AR county. There are some very good deer, but very smart. Lots of pressure, lots of 1-10 acre properties, and they all seem to hang a feeder. I have watched large, old bucks eyeballing hunters across fences and waiting for them to leave. Had 1 buck in particular do it to me twice.

Not many deer but the bucks are big. May see more hogs though. Dove hunting should be really good too.

west of 35 is 1 buck greater than 13" and 1 spike and three does. East of 35 is the same on bucks but only 2 does.

This is true^^^. But the area you are speaking of is on the eastern portion of Bell Co out near Little River-Academy and Southeast of Temple. Its more open country with patches of trees out that way. Don't have any personal experience in that part of the county.

There will not be a lot of deer out that way but there are some big boys out there. Just be patient and put in the time and effort and it should pay off. Hopefully you are a little closer to Oscar or Red Ranger than Heidenhamer.

I never said anything about it being an AR county or not, it is, and has been for years. I was referring to number of deer you can take, I was incorrect on the number of bucks on the east side of 35.
To the OP, the area east of 35 does not hold the numbers of deer but they do pull some whoppers off eastern Bell county especially around the river bottoms. Over here on the west side we have as many deer per acre as most hill country countys.
