Got a gently used LC9 recently and have shot it twice. Each time a live round jammed. The first time I was able to take it apart. This time the slide won't budge so I can't remove the pin. Any suggestions? Would Ruger be of service? I think the gun is about a year old.

It definitely needs to go back to Ruger but the live round has to come out first. Contact Ruger and tell them what happened. Ask them what to do. Wish I could offer some help.
Good luck.

I hear the early models had some flukes.

Ruger said that should not be happening and to ship it to them on their dime and they will repair or correct it. Although an inconvenient situation, I think it will be fine. Buyers beware!

Elk Castle removed the live round for me at no charge and fired a magazine of new ammo with no issues. Apparantly I got some poor re-loads in the deal. EC said the gun is fine.

Those reloads may be the key. Won't hurt to have Ruger check it out. Most reports I read, the gun is genuinely well liked. Good luck.
