Ok guys,

I hunted saturday with 2 other guys and ended up scratching together a limit and a half(3 greens, 2 widgeon, and 2 woodies). Should have had more, but alas another case of simply being in the wrong place. Well, coming out I did some scouting and found a hold that was holding birds(upwards of 300). Primarily Mallards and pintails. anwyay, this is a large flat with one downed log on it and I can't figure out anyway to hunt it other than a layout blind. the birds were there all morning and when jumped would circle the lake and seemed to be back within 15-20 minutes. Now I'm not promising birds or limits, but I am going by myself on saturday and could take 2 more in the boat if anyone wanted to join. I only have one layout blind thats worth a damn though, so that could be an issue. This particular lake is within 2 hrs of anywhere in dallas, but if you live up north or on the west side, that would make it considerably less. Anybody interested?

I'm sure you have better places to hunt then. Nobody is gonna twist your arm. Like I said, I don't promise birds. just offering a boat ride and a chance at a pretty good shoot.

It was a joke, thus the smiley face. In fact, I was going to say you must be nice beyond reason to invite strangers for a hunt.

alright Greg, this spot is about 400 yds from where you and I hunted last time. It was covered up in ducks saturday. I'll be over in Denton, so you and Kbobb can probably carpool since he is coming from your way as well. That will make 3 and we should be able to do pretty well. We can discuss details tomorrow night.

haha, I enjoy the company and if I have the room why not. Not everybody has access to some of the water I have because you can't walk in. I remember what it was like being a poor college kid fighting the walk ins and trying to find places to hunt. a boatride was as good as a good piece of tail(that sounds crazy, but tail was much more plentiful back then.). I wasn't taking offense believe me. but if I had the opportunityt o hunt private all the time like I thought you did, I would be there. believe me.

Besides... you and me have a score to settle with the birds anyway. I will go buy a layout blind this week. Talk at you tomorrow night

I obviously should go to church more.

I actually don't hunt private that much, only twice this year so far.

However, just don't hunt outside of the circle too much. Public is my game, good or bad. Although I do have at least one more private hunt this year.

Roadgoeson, if you want plentiful tail, head down to Down Under Pub after your happy hour tomorrow. You can hear the blond mating calls from the parking lot: "Ohmigawd, I'm soooo drunk!"

Wednesday nights in that place ain't even fair. All you have to do is pick a vict-... girl.

Supremo,
you are the second person to tell me that. However, I'm still working on keeping the current chica fooled as to what she's dealing with. I figure a woman who buys me decoys, encourages me to go out and hunt, is about to finish her PHD and is beautiful to boot might just be too good to blow on a blonde at down under. I am however goign to have to have a happy hour with my single friends there to test your theory. I'll be sure to include a full write up with experimental results for you guys.

As the guy in the relationship, you have a sworn duty to wing your [censored] off for your single friends. As a guy that's taken, you're relatively harmless to single girls and therefore lethal as a wing.

I haven't gone to Down Under specifically to chase skirt in a couple of years, since I'm in a relationship, too, but I have been in there many times just socially and let me tell you... it's as easy as always. The guys in there have NO game, which is sad, because the girls in there are there to get picked up.

Anyway, back on topic, y'all have a good hunt this weekend.

I thought Duke's and Carson's was the home of "My husband is out of town, and I am horny".

Carson's is the home of the early-30's divorcee. Especially on the VIP side, Reflection. There are packs of them wandering around over there, aspiring to cougar status but not quite old enough to pull it off. Bold approaches are indicated here. Any sign of weakness and the pack will eat you like a wounded elk. They will then light candles and dance around your corpse while sipping appletinis. No one wants to see this.

Duke's I don't have any experience with.

Is that what they say, our neighborhood "girls" weren't divorces until they started hanging out there on a full time basis.

LOL! During summer, it's fun to poke around in Reflection and look for wedding ring tan lines on the women.

There's a ton of them in Uptown. The crown jewel of $30K millionaires is Candle Room. Nick & Sam's is packed with them. Ghost Bar's [censored] deep in 'em, too. Douchenozzles with tiny salaries and crushing debt loads. Wallets full of platinum cards and $17 in their checking accounts. They're fun to watch.

30k millionaires, lol. I feel sorry for people who go out and lease some real nice car, buy big screens, have all the newest style outfits, etc and you know they are in debt out the [censored]. Some just can't control themselves.

The other term for that is Big Hat, No Cattle.

Don't even get me started on the level of financial literacy in this country.

I actually deal with it quite often in my line of work. People will call me out of the phone book after they've gotten to the point where they can't even handle minimum payments. 95% of the time I just tell them I don't really work with people in those situations. My clients are the people that know how to live within their means and save money...if they don't have that approach to begin with I can't really change them. It's almost like being a personal trainer or something...they can tell you how to eat and how to workout but if you don't follow the plan you'll always be a fatass.
