I had entirely stopped hunting deer with a rifle for years. After learning to bow hunt, I never miss a chance to go. For me, personally, there is no comparison; but to each his own.

Modern smokeless gunpowder and electric power are awesome and really great inventions. I use both of them and don't intend to go back.

I don't hunt with a stick and string and don't think I ever will..
I have deer get so close to me while on the ground I could killem with a spear.. Sometimes i wonder if they are going to come in my little makeshift blind with me.. Now that is fun..
I don't like squeakers(AKA wounded deer that get away).. Makes me feel bad..
If I wanta go primitive.. I will muzzleload..
When in doubt.. Empty the magazine

I love bowhunting but occasionally, it's just fun to sit in a heated blind on a really cold morning overlooking a large area!

The only reason I even own archery tackle is to get in the woods earlier. I don't like archery hunting, and archery equipment is a terrible investment. (If anyone want to argue that point, take a look at used bow prices sometime.)
I am a "gun guy", and that is my preferred method.

Bow hunting all the way!! The excitment of the animal so close it to big of a rush. Hit or miss bow hunting is always fun when the animals get that close
