I set-up my Truth Cam 46 this past weekend. It snapped a lot of pics of nothing. Could this be due to the wind? It was so damn windy this weekend. Even the T Post that the camera was mounted on would move a little with the wind. I had the sensitivity level on low too. I have it set at 30 sec delay. Going to try & head back out there this weekend to check it out.

My TC46 takes a lot more pics when it's windy. Set it up in or around your house out of the wind to check it.

Wife lost her credit card. Noticed the charges were less, so I didn't bother to report it.

I keep mine in High. I'm lazy, don't have to change it when the wind stops. My viewer can scan through scores pretty fast.

I set mine on low with 30 sec delay. Going back out there Sunday to check the SD card. I'm sure there is going to be a lot of wasted pics due to the crazy wind over there.

I think you can attribute that to 2 things: the wind is making your sensor react to every little movement out in the field and the trigger speed isn't the fastest (it's a Primos, not a Cuddeback). My Primos 60 does the same thing. I'd put it around the house with high traffic to make sure it is reacting to movement.

Most of my cameras take pictures of limbs and weeds when it is windy. Try trimming the vegetation in front of the camera or move it.

My Reconyx is the only one I have that doesn't give "false positives". Every image from it has some type of wildlife in it. Its shutter speed is fast (about 1/4 sec) so there are no missed shots when triggered. I just can't afford to buy several or it is the only camera I would use.

I just pulled the cards on a Scoutguard and Wildlife Innovations pointed at the same feeder (2 cams because one made me not trust it). Neither one had the group of deer I watched go in and out of the feeder area. Maybe it is their angle or height? They had a lot of "wind" pictures.

Going to take a look at it tomorrow. Might move it to a different spot with less trees.

Leaves will soon be gone from the trees. That should help. If you have high grass in the field of vision, knock it down. If the camera is attached to a small tree or even to a t-post, the wind will cause camera movement that will trigger the shutter.
