I posted this in the taxidermy section as well, but I figured it would get a few more looks here...I just got back from South Dakota and I brought two of the nicer birds back with me to be mounted together in some way. The problem is I'm not quite sure how I want to mount the two just yet, fighting, flying, standing, etc. I do know that I want it to hang on the wall if that helps. Anybody have any ideas?

I would get them busting out of the crp going in different directions. Ask the taxi to put some good looking cover behind them and maybe some drift would underneath.
Say When.....

If you have not decided already, I would give Pat with Avian Arts a call. I dropped some birds off at his shop yesterday, and he was putting together an AMAZING flushing mount with two roosters jumping out of habitat.

Hey Goldstein that's where I ended up taking them. Maybe that was my two birds, I decided to go with the two birds flushing out of some habitat.
For anybody else that's looking Pat's a great guy and didn't have any problem with working with me to decide how I wanted to do it, can't wait to get mine back.

I wanted a running bird to put on top of a book shelf but the Taxi mounted in flying on a piece of driftwood. No sure why he did that but it came out nice. I will post a pic this evening

Most pheasants fly with their feet forward pressed up against their body.
